Dr. Anna Barnutiu
I offer inspiring and personalized piano lessons that nurture musical growth, creativity, and self-confidence in students of all ages and levels. With a strong foundation in classical piano training and an adaptive, student-centered teaching approach, I help each learner become a confident musician and a strong-minded individual who refines their intellectual and artistic skills.
In addition to piano instruction, I prepare students for advanced music programs and assessments, including AP Music Theory examinations, Certificate of Merit evaluations, and other standardized music proficiency exams. I also support new and experienced music educators by offering mentorship, professional development, and teaching resources—helping them expand their skills, grow their music teaching businesses, and thrive in their careers.
Dr. Anna Barnutiu is an experienced classical piano teacher who has been passionately teaching since 2005. She offers expert instruction in both private and group settings, working with students as young as 3 years old through adult learners. With nearly two decades of experience, Dr. Anna specializes in adaptive piano teaching, working with students of all abilities—including those with learning disabilities, blindness, and deafness.
Her personalized, student-centered approach ensures that every learner receives a unique musical education tailored to their individual goals and learning style—whether visual, aural, or kinesthetic. Dr. Anna prepares students for a wide range of goals: from playing for personal enjoyment to passing rigorous piano examinations such as Certificate of Merit, ABRSM, and AP Music Theory, or even pursuing a college degree in music.
In addition to her teaching studio, Dr. Anna serves as President of the Board of Directors for the Music Teachers’ Association of California (MTAC), Diamond Bar Branch. She is also a certified music teacher at the Academy of Music for the Blind, where she brings accessible music education to visually impaired students.
As the founder of Successful Music Teaching, Dr. Anna supports music educators across the globe. Through her online platform, she helps new and aspiring piano teachers develop their instructional voice, strengthen their teaching philosophy, and gain confidence in the business side of music education.
A devoted classical pianist, Dr. Anna is committed to helping her students connect deeply with foundational repertoire while also encouraging them to explore music that reflects their personal interests. She attributes her success in performance, education, and leadership to the mentorship of her teachers, the support of her family, and her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ.
